A sunny winter day on Summer Street It's sweater warm, but colder in the shade I'm afraid it's just a hot freak current from the gulf of Mexico traveled up the coast to kiss us on the cheek and kiss off and leave us in the rain A rainy windy summer day and I accept that I make never feel your gentle warm caress again but then another hot freak current from the gulf of Mexico travels up the coast to kiss us on the cheek

his moods have turned to greyer tones now.... he's itching for escape; the crowds are getting to him.... in the evening, i'll awake and go out to greet the moon - such a nocturnal beast i've become.... doctor x built a robot that could think, later on his bots built something he could not comprehend - that spelled the end of human kind, of everything, for a while....

All those with souvenirs, get them inspected by customs officials - the booth on your right - before you passover, before you cross over tonight. That's the performance. That's the whole show.

about

The tracks for this album were, for the most part (except for #1, which was recorded with Ronok), recorded at home (in the winter of 2005, through the "hobbit hole," tucked into the old servants' quarters of a 155 year-old Victorian mansion on South Park Street in Halifax, NS, ...a beautiful old yellow house, since demolished to make way for a high-rise condominium building...) then remixed and mastered by Ronok Sarkar at 67 Mountain Rd.

released May 5, 2005

Ronok Sarkar appears on bass in various places throughout the album; Michel Ungurain lends percussive support in places; Andrew Long provided the strings on the title track; Chico Connors plays lead guitar in Chaintown and again near the end; Jeff Brown (drums) and Morgan Cadene (bass) back me up on the Fake Fitz out-tro; the horn sounds are mouthed impersonations of trumpets by yours truly - Bill Travis, also on acoustic guitar, egg shaker, charango, vocals, clarinet and bass clarinet.
